This tour will take you through the unusual province of Alajuela where Costa Rica`s national hero ¨Juan Santamaria¨was born. You will pass by coffee plantations and dairy farms in order to reach the 2.708m hight Poas volcano and its national park. From the lookout point you can enjoy a breath-taking view of the blue lake and observe steam and gas escaping from the crater. Later you will hike to an idyllic lagoon.
