A delightful tour which incorporates so much of beautiful Ecuador. Enjoy the many excursions in and around Quito: the Equatorial monument, the famous Otavalo India Market, the Papallacta Hot Springs and the Cotopaxi National Park. The train ride from Riobamba to Cuenca is a great way to see the countryside and after a stay in the lovely city of Cuenca travel to Guayaquil where your tour ends or we suggest a 3 night Galapagos extension.

Itinerary

Day 1
On arrival in Quito you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2
Half day city tour including Equatorial monument

Day 3
Transfer to Otavalo. On arrival visit to the handicraft market and in the afternoon enjoy a visit of the Cuicocha Lagoon and the little village Cotacachi.

Day 4
Transfer to Papallacta, famous for its thermal springs. En route visit a school project in Peguche and a flower farm. 

Day 5
Drive along the “Avenue of the Volcanoes” to the South. Visit the Cotopaxi Natioanl Park and enjoy a walking tour at Laguna Limpiopungo. 

Day 6
Visit to the Indian market of Zumbahua and to the volcanic lake Quilotoa. Transfer to Riobamba

Day 7
Journey on board the autoferro train for a journey along the Devils nose. Bus transfer to Cuenca with a lunchbox included. En route visit the ruins of Ingapirca. 

Day 8
Half day excursion to visit the main sights including the flower market and a Panama hat factory.

Day 9
Transfer to Guayaquil including a visit of Cacao project enroute. Enjoy a short panoramic sightseeing tour upon arrival.
