Panama Highlights Tour

Itinerary

Day 1 Panama City
Arrival in Panama City and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 Panama City – El Valle – Panama City
In the morning take a short drive to Ancon Hill for a quick hike through the rainforest. Afterwards drive to the El Valle de Anton volcano valley. Upon arrival you will get to know the area via a short hike. On your way back in the afternoon, you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the Pacific Ocean in Santa Clara.

Day 3 Panama City Tour
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Panama City including a visit to the Miraflores locks at the Panama Canal.

Day 4 Panama City – Soberania National Park – Gatun Lake – Colon
Drive to nearby Soberania National Park for a hike along the “El Charco” trail before driving to Gamboa port for a 3 hour long boat ride on Lake Gatun and finally reaching Colon where you will stay.

Day 5 Colon – San Lorenzo – Colon – Panama City
Visit San Lorenzo port and afterwards travel through jungles on a historic rail passage from Colon to Panama City. 

Day 6 Panama City – Embera Indians – Panama City
Head northeast to Curutu where you will board dugout canoes and go up the Rio Chagres to visit the village of the Embera Indians. 

Day 7 Partial Crossing of the Panama Canal
Spend the day watching freight ships cross the canal and learn about the canal’s history.

Day 8
Transfer to the airport for your flight home or choose to extend your stay.

Panama is easily combined with Costa Rica or you can fly to the Bocas del Toro Islands off Panama for a beach stay, just ask us and we can let you know the options.
