Dream Islands | Venezuela - Departs Every Sunday

A country of natural resources, Venezuela's countryside is a beautiful mix of beaches, table top mountains and jungles vibrant with wildlife.  This itinerary is a great way to visit some of the main areas of Venezuela and is a great experience.  From Caracas you fly to the breathtaking archipelago of Los Roques where you spend two days aboard a catamaran with plenty of opportunities to swim, dive and snorkel.  Next stop, the Orinoco Delta where you can do many excursions from your lodge such as piranha fishing, hiking and visit the local communities.  From here you fly to Canaima National Park with it's spectacular scenery characterized by table top mountains and waterfalls.  Before returning to Caracas you enjoy an over flight of the world’s highest Waterfall, Angel Falls.  Truly wonderful. 

A great way to compliment your tour is a beach extension on Margarita Island, off the coast of Venezuela.  Relax on the lovely beaches of Margarita or enjoy the many excursions available. 

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Caracas
Arrival in Caracas and transfer to the hotel for 1 night.

Day 2 To Los Roques
Fly to Los Roques. Board a Catamaran for a full-day excursion to the islands of the archipelago.

Day 3  To Los Roques
Continue to explore the islands of the archipelago on board a Catamaran.

Day 4  To the Orinoco Delta
Fly, via Margarita Island, to Maturín. Transfer to the port of Morichal Largo. From here enter the Orinoco Delta by boat. Arrive at Boral Camp in time for lunch. Afternoon excursion in the Delta.

Day 5  Orinoco Delta
Continue to explore the Delta. In the morning and afternoon make excursions by boat, including survival training in the jungle, piranha fishing, and visit to the Warao Indian communities.

Day 6  To Canaima National Park
Fly to beautiful Arekuna Lodge, at the border of Canaima National Park. After lunch make an excursion in the area around Arekuna. Use the camp's kayaks or simply relax and take a refreshing bath in the waters of the Caroní river.

Day 7  Canaima National Park
Morning and afternoon excursions in Canaima National Park.

Day 8  To Caracas
After lunch fly to Canaima village.  From here we make an excursion to Sapo Falls, where we can walk behind its thundering curtain of water.  Visit of local handicraft shop and at 1500 fly to Margarita Island.  On the way we make an overflight of Anel Falls.  Arrival on Margarita Island and take connecting flight to Caracas for 1 night B&B.
