Patagonian Discovery | Argentina & Chile

Visiting Patagonia is a true experience of South America and this itinerary is a great way to discover this beautiful part of the world.  After a stay in Buenos Aires you will visit Puerto Madryn and enjoy a full day excursion of Peninsula Valdes and Punta Tombo where you can view the Magellan Penguins.  From here fly to Ushuaia, the world's southernmost city where you visit Tierra del Fuego National Park and then travel onward to El Calafate where you visit the spectacular Perito Moreno Glacier.  Cross by bus to Puerto Natales in Chile, the base from which to visit the Torres del Paine National Park.  Enjoy a tour of the town of Punta Arenas before flying to Santiago.

Itinerary

Day 1 Buenos Aires
Arrival in Buenos Aires and transfer to the hotel

Day 2 Buenos Aires
Half day city tour in Buenos Aires to visit the main sights.
Optional excursion: Tango Show including dinner at “El Viejo Almacén” showhouse.

Day 3
Day at leisure
Optional excursion: Full day excursion to a typical Estancia including lunch.
Optional excursion: Visit of San Telmo flea market.

Day 4 Buenos Aires - Puerto Madryn
Transfer to the airport for flight to Trelew. On arrival transfer to your hotel in Puerto Madryn.

Day 5 Puerto Madryn
Full day excursion to Peninsula Valdés for wildlife observation.

Day 6 Puerto Madryn - Ushuaia
Morning visit of Punta Tombo to view the Magellan Penguins. Transfer to the airport for flight to Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city. On arrival transfer to your hotel.

Day 7 Ushuaia
Half day excursion to visit the Tierra del Fuego National Park.
Optional excursion: Boat ride by catamaran across the Beagle Canal passing by Los Lobos Island.

Day 8 Ushuaia - El Calafate  
Transfer to the airport for flight to El Calafate and on arrival transfer to the hotel.

Day 9 El Calafate
Full day excursion to the Perito Moreno Glacier.

Day 10 El Calafate - Puerto Natales
Drive in public bus to Puerto Natales in Chile (without guide) and on arrival transfer to the hotel. 

Day 11 Puerto Natales
Full day excursion to the Torres del Paine National Park.

Day 12 Puerto Natales - Santiago
Early morning transfer to the bus station to take the public bus to Punta Arenas where you will enjoy a city tour. Transfer to the airport for flight to Santiago de Chile and on arrival transfer to the hotel.

Day 13 Santiago
Half day city tour including visit of the Cerro San Cristóbal.

Day 14 Santiago
Transfer to the airport for flight home.
