Andes & Amazon | Peru

This tour includes some of Peru's main highlights such as Lima and Cuzco where you will enjoy a trip to the Sacred Valley and the ancient Inca city of Machu Picchu. From Cuzco you will travel by bus along the Andes to Puno which sits on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Enjoy a visit to the reed islands of Uros & Taquile where you will meet the local people who live on these islands. Your tour ends with a three night Amazon Jungle package where you will enjoy many excursions along the Amazon to view and observe the animals and wildlife of the area.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Lima
On arrival in Lima you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 – Lima – Cuzco – Yucay
Transfer to the airport for flight to Cuzco and upon arrival transfer to your hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and on the way visit the Pisac Indian Market and Ollantaytambo.

Day 3 – Yucay – Machu Picchu – Cuzco
Full day excursion by Vistadome train to visit the Incan site of Machu Picchu including a guided visit and in the evening return to Cuzco for 2 nights.

Day 4 – Cuzco
Half day city tour of Cuzco and nearby ruins such as Sacsayhuaman.

Day 5 – Cuzco – Puno
Enjoy a panoramic drive by local bus to Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca, with visits en route with lunch included.

Day 6 – Puno
Full day boat excursion on Lake Titicaca to visit the Uros Indians and Taquile Island, lunch included.

Day 7 – Puno – Lima
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima and on arrival in Lima transfer to your hotel. Enjoy an afternoon city tour including San Francisco Convent and Larco Herrera Museum.

Day 8
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Iquitos in the Amazon region. On arrival there is a brief city orientation and boat transfer to the lodge. Full board basis during Amazon stay with excursions included.

Day 9 & 10
Full day of excursions by walking and by canoe with naturalist guides.

Day 11
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima to connect with your flight home or extend your stay.
