Venezuela Holidays
A country rich in natural and mineral resources, Venezuela offers a visitor beautiful beaches, amazing wildlife and animals, mountains, national parks and is home to the worlds highest waterfall; Angel Falls. A great way to visit Venezuela which we recommend for its value is on our ‘Dream Islands tour’ where you visit the Los Roques Archipelago, the Orinoco Delta and Canaima National Park and perhaps extend your stay on Margarita Island.
Caracas
The capital of Venezuela, Caracas is a mixture of old and new and is located under Avila Mountain. A cable car ride to the top of the mountain is one of the main things to do in the city and for the more adventurous; you can hike up the mountain and return by cable car. Once at the top you have beautiful views and can really feel the difference in climate. Other highlights include a tour of the old town and there are quite a number of shopping centres in Caracas.
Canaima National Park
Breathtaking scenery characterised by table top mountains known as ‘Tepuis’, savannah and many waterfalls including ‘Angel Falls’, the worlds highest uninterrupted waterfall, make Canaima National Park a beautiful stop on an itinerary to Venezuela. Enjoy an overflight of Angel Falls where you fly over the sheer cliffs and view the waterfall from the top and from the bottom, a spectacular experience.
